MAINTAINING A LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE

Most places selling Lace Wigs and Hairpieces recommend securing them for extended wearing.
Wearing a Lace Wig or Hairpiece for more than just one day may be very appealing, however, wearing them for extended period of time does require sleeping and showering daily while wearing them.
Naturally, the damage caused from sleeping while wearing a Lace Wig or Hairpiece will take its toll and doing maintenance on the Wig or Hairpiece will become necessary.
To reduce potential damage to a Lace Wig or Hairpiece while sleeping simply wear something like a sleeping cap over your Lace Wig or Hairpiece.

BASIC LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE MAINTENANCE

Cleaning a Lace Wig or Hairpiece regularly is highly recommended, however, it should only be done when the hair on Lace Wig or Hairpiece truly needs cleaning.
Combing the hair when wet, stretches the hair and eventually will cause hair breakage.

Shampoo and condition a Lace Wig or Hairpiece should ONLY BE DONE WHEN REALLY NECESSARY.

PURIFIED WATER should be used when shampooing.

Secure Lace Wig or Hairpiece to a Head Block BEFORE SHAMPOOING and CONDITIONING.

NEVER RUB the hairs together with your fingers when shampooing Lace Wig or Hairpiece.

Hair SHOULD BE DAMPENDED on Lace Wig or Hairpiece before cutting it in with a scissor.

After shampooing, hold Head Block at the base and shake the head block several times to separate hair stands from Head Block.

Use a WIDE TOOTH COMB or BRUSH when working on damp hair.

Never cut straight hair shorter then 2" long when hair is intended to be restyled

Virgin Russian Hair can be bleached and died either lighter or
darker, but without bleaching, it can only be toned darker than its existing color.

SHAMPOOING AND CONDITIONING LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE

Regular shampoos and conditioners can be used, however, using specially formulated products for Wigs and Hairpieces is recommended.

The cleaning process is very simple. All you need is two plastic spray bottles. The plastic spray bottles are used to make shampoo and conditioner mixtures. The shampoo and conditioner mixtures are 50% Shampoo and water in one bottle and 50% Conditioner and water in an other spray bottle.

Shake spray bottle until the mixture is well blended.

SHAMPOOING & CONDITIONING
WHILE WEARING LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE

Dampen hair using warm water.
Spray shampoo mixture on Lace Wig or Hairpiece.
Allow mixture to penetrate hair for approximately 15 minutes.
Rinse shampoo from Lace Wig or Hairpiece.
Repeat above process to condition hair on Lace Wig or Hairpiece.

Preparing Lace Wig or Hairpiece for Styling:

Place towel over Lace Wig or Hairpiece and press gently to
absorb moisture from hair on Lace Wig or Hairpiece.

Position head down towards feet and shake your head to loosen and untangle damp hair.

Carefully comb and dry Lace Wig or Hairpiece with your desired style.

Letting hair dry at room temperature is recommended.

SHAMPOOING & CONDITIONING
LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE SECURED TO A HEAD BLOCK

Secure Lace Wig or Hairpiece to a Head Block.

Dampen hair on Lace Wig or Hairpiece using warm water.
Spray shampoo mixture on Lace Wig or Hairpiece.
Allow mixture to penetrate hair for approximately 15 minutes.
Rinse shampoo from Lace Wig or Hairpiece.
Repeat above process to condition hair on Wig or Hairpiece.

Preparing A Wig or Hairpiece for Styling:

Hold a Head Block at base facing floor, shake Head Block to loosen damp hair.

Comb and dry Wig or Hairpiece with your style

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS

Secure your Lace Wig or Hairpiece to a Head Block. This will help to maintain the contour of the Base.

Covering a Lace Wig or Hairpiece with a dark plastic bag to protect from dust and direct sunlight is recommended. Fewer times a Lace Wig or Hairpiece is cleaned will extend the lifetime of your Hair System.
Storing a Lace Wig or Hairpiece in direct sunlight is not recommended. Virgin Hair discolors in direct sunlight. Store your Lace Wig or Hairpiece in a dark, dry place.
